Work & Income Project(2019-2026)

Creating dignified and sustainable livelihood opportunities is at the heart of DLFF’s Work and Income initiatives in the Eastern Province. Many persons with disabilities continue to be excluded from the local economy, and DLFF works to change this by building skills, opening pathways to income, and strengthening the systems meant to support them.

1. The Inclusive Society for Economic Development (ISED) Programme

Through the ISED program, adults with physical disabilities receive tailored entrepreneurship support that includes business training, market exposure, technical guidance, and essential livelihood assets.

2. The Family Business Programme

This initiative extends similar support to young adults with intellectual disabilities who have completed vocational training at the Dutch Lanka Special School.
