enAble SriLanka (2026 Onwards)
For years, DLFF has been committed to building sustainable partnerships with the Sri Lankan Government, and enAble Sri Lanka is the result of that vision. This initiative is dedicated to enabling more children with disabilities to access government schools, not simply as a standalone programme, but as a strengthening and expanding force within Sri Lanka’s national inclusive education system.
Many families across Sri Lanka face significant barriers in accessing Special Education Units, including distance, limited availability, and a lack of transportation. enAble Sri Lanka bridges this gap by reinforcing existing government structures and establishing new Special Education Units in schools located within underserved communities.
The project is grounded in rigorous research, community consultations, and close collaboration with Sri Lankan education authorities, ensuring that every step is locally relevant, evidence-based, and built to last.
